Alice Black, of Columbus
in Franklin County, is the Director of the Ohio LEAD
Program. Alice joined the program June 2001 after 10 years
as Executive Director of the Ohio Poultry Association. She
is active on many boards and committees for Ohio’s food and
agricultural industry. Alice has also been employed by the
Ohio Department of Agriculture as Chief of Marketing and
Communications, worked at an advertising agency in Columbus
as Public Relations Director, and worked for the Buckeye
Farm News magazine at the Ohio Farm Bureau. Alice also
taught an undergraduate agricultural issues and writing
course in the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental
Sciences for seven years. She is an OSU graduate holding a
Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Agricultural
Communications, a Masters in Journalism, and is working
towards a PhD. She attends Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church

Tari Marcou, of
Worthington in Franklin County, is the Program Coordinator
for the Ohio LEAD Program. Tari joined the LEAD Program in
2003 after 3 years as the Program Coordinator for the Ohio
Income Tax School Program and the Administrative Assistant
for the Farm Income Enhancement Program at The Ohio State
University. She attended the University of Cincinnati and
The Ohio State University. Tari has 2 children who live in
the Columbus area and enjoys traveling, gardening and
spending time with family.
